Henry Jenkins and Daniel Hickey

03.14.09 Posted in Social Media, education, research by Shelley

Recently, Henry Jenkins posted a white paper in a series of 8 blog posts discussing the importance of spreadability in media. In response to these posts, Daniel Hickey is evaluating the idea of spreadability with current educational practices in his own series of blog posts

This is really exciting to me; these are my two areas of interest. So, this week (and as Hickey’s posts continue) I will be looking at this discourse and evaluating it from my point of view, especially looking for ideas that I can use in my own research. So, feel free to come back for more as the week progresses!

  1. Hey, I’d love to hear what you think about these posts (full disclosure: I’m working with Dan on drafting the posts you’re responding to). I’m writing some about spreadability on my own blog, and I’d love for you to check it out! You can read a recent post on this topic at http://jennamcwilliams.blogspot.com/2009/03/what-open-source-can-teach-us-about_23.html.

    Thanks!
